About lead flashing & leadwork
Lead is where roofs meet walls, chimneys, windows and each other. It's where a large share of all roof leaks begin. Good leadwork is a craft: correctly sized code lead, proper laps and steps cut into the mortar joints, and dressing that lets the metal expand and contract without splitting. The roofers we connect you with renew step and cover flashings, chimney aprons and back gutters, lead valleys, bay-window tops and porch roofs. They also repair split or lifted lead where a full renewal isn't needed. While theft or budget sometimes rules out lead, they can advise honestly on modern composite alternatives.
How we help
Find Trusted Roofers is a national network that connects UK homeowners with local roofers. Since we are not a roofing contractor, we don't do the work ourselves. Instead, you tell us about your lead flashing job once, and we match you with a roofer in our network who covers your postcode and works on your roof type. Every roofer quotes from their own survey. You deal directly with them and choose whether to proceed.
We check the roofers in our network against Companies House, confirm public liability insurance, and note any TrustMark, NFRC or CompetentRoofer membership. We verify what we can, although we don't guarantee the work itself. The work is always contracted directly between you and the roofer.
